North Korea Launches Unidentified Missile
North Korea has launched an unidentified missile towards the Sea of Japan, according to reports from Japan's coastal security, as noted by RIA Novosti.
It is reported that the missile has already fallen into the sea. Vessels currently in the area have been advised to exercise caution and avoid approaching any suspicious objects should they be discovered.
According to NHK, a crisis response team has been established in connection with the office of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The team is gathering information and assessing potential damage, as representatives from relevant authorities are conducting urgent meetings.
Ryonhap agency has also reported on the possible launch. "The Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea announced the launch," the agency stated in its publication.
This marks North Korea's seventh test this year.
