Putin's Directive Regarding Days of Genocide Remembrance
Russian President Vladimir Putin has tasked the Ministry of Education to include days dedicated to the remembrance of genocide victims in the calendar program by May 1, including January 27.
This was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the Kremlin's press service.
According to the directive, "The Ministry of Education of Russia is to plan the inclusion of days dedicated to the commemoration of the genocide of peoples by the Nazis in the calendar program, with the aim of perpetuating the memory of the victims among the civilian population during World War II, including January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, as the day of liberation of the prisoners of the fascist camp 'Auschwitz' by the Red Army."
