Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill Joe Biden

A resident of Kansas has been arrested in the United States for threatening to kill President Joe Biden. The information was reported by RIA Novosti, referencing the Daily Beast.

According to information from the New York Post, the Kansas police had earlier informed the Secret Service that a man named Merriman had called them and said that he was going to Washington to 'see the president.'

He had told law enforcement officers that he was going to the White House to inform Biden that people were 'fed up to the throat with the division in the country, that he needs to turn to God.'

Merriman had also made several posts on his Facebook page, using 'increasingly threatening language.'

Secret Service agents arrested Merriman on January 26 in a restaurant parking lot while he was en route from Kansas to Maryland. He was found in possession of a loaded magazine and an optical tube intended for tracking targets.
