Baghdad Airport Hit by Rocket Attack

Baghdad International Airport has come under attack by air forces, a source from Iraq's security agencies reported, according to РИА Новости.

“At least six rockets fell near the runway,” the source added.

The rocket attack occurred at 4:30 AM local time (5:30 AM Yerevan time), with the missiles intercepted thanks to air defense systems. As a result, an aircraft that was parked in the lot has sustained damage. Photos provided by the source show a hole in the fuselage.

The investigation is ongoing, and no one has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
