Swan Halts London Metro Operations for an Hour
A swan has halted the operations of the London metro for an hour, reports UPI.
At South Acton station, passengers witnessed an unusual sight as the white swan settled on the tracks, refusing to move. Even the shouting of people trying to scare the bird away had no effect.
As a result, metro staff were called in to address the issue. While they attempted to escort the swan to safety, 14 train routes were canceled.
After rescuing the bird, it was handed over to veterinarians. The doctors examined the swan and later released it back into the wild.
