Papikyan is at work but will take a test: Ministry of Defense
Reports had circulated in the media indicating that, in addition to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, and other high-ranking military officials, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan had also contracted the coronavirus.
Auroranews.am contacted the Ministry of Defense and learned that Suren Papikyan is at work, feeling well, but plans to take a coronavirus test.
It is noteworthy that the reception dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the formation of the armed forces, scheduled for January 28 at the "Dvin" hotel complex, has been postponed because the coronavirus has been detected in the Chief of the General Staff, several high-ranking officials in the military leadership, and some invited guests.
