Fake Coronavirus Test and Vaccination Certificate Results Discovered at Zvartnots Airport
The employees of the State Health and Labor Inspection's border sanitary control points continue their duty on an enhanced regime. During the period from August to December 2021, cases of preparing and selling fake negative results of mandatory coronavirus tests and vaccination certificates for entry into the Republic of Armenia through the "Zvartnots" international airport were discovered by the Inspection Authority. Criminal cases have been initiated by the Investigative Department of Crimes Committed at Zvartnots Airport with respect to 9 cases that raised suspicion. Out of these, 5 cases have already been sent to court.
Specifically:
- V.M., A.M., A.M., and G.G. have prepared and sold false negative test results for mandatory coronavirus testing for entry into the Republic of Armenia. The criminal case was initiated on August 27, 2021.
- On August 23, 2021, A.K., along with his wife A.H. and their 7-year-old son, arrived at Yerevan's "Zvartnots" international airport from Sharm El Sheikh and presented fake certificates indicating negative results for the coronavirus.
- On August 15, 2021, T.T. presented a falsified medical document at "Zvartnots" international airport, claiming to have a ready test result for Covid-19. The case has been sent to court.

The proceedings of this case were suspended under the second paragraph of the first part of Article 31 of the RA CPC (the accused has hidden from investigation or trial, or their location is not ascertainable for other reasons).
- H.O., S.A., A.Kh., and A.T. presented false PCR test results for the Covid-19 pandemic contained in their mobile phones to the employees of the Inspection Authority. On December 1, 2021, three criminal cases were initiated, which were merged and sent to court in one proceeding.
The Inspection Authority once again urges individuals to refrain from forgeries and to adhere to the entry requirements into the Republic of Armenia established by the RA government’s decision 1514-N.
