Azerbaijan to Construct International Airports in Zangezur and Lachin

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport is collaborating with the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Association to prepare the Zangezur and Lachin airports for operation. This information was reported by Azerbaijani media outlets.

According to their reports, the transport minister stated that the construction of infrastructure for air transport is progressing according to schedule.

“The opening of Fuzuli Airport took place on October 26 of last year. Preparatory work is ongoing for the construction of international airports in Zangezur and Lachin,” the Azerbaijani minister noted.
