Roma Does Not Plan to Extend Contract with Mkhitaryan, Reports La Repubblica
The captain of the Armenian national team, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, is likely to depart from Roma after the conclusion of the season. The club's management does not plan to extend the contract with the 33-year-old midfielder, according to a report by Roma Press referencing La Repubblica.
Mkhitaryan's contract with the Romans expires this summer, making him a free agent.
Roma is already considering options to replace Mkhitaryan. He earns 3 million euros annually, which is one of the reasons for the club's decision not to extend his contract.
The midfielder has been with Roma since 2019 and has scored three goals in 22 Serie A matches this season. His transfer value is estimated at 10 million euros.
International media reported that in the autumn, Mkhitaryan attracted interest from clubs like Milan, Sevilla, Zenit, Spartak, and Krasnodar.
