VIDEO: "War is a beloved topic for you, for us it's a tragedy" - Debate during the National Assembly committee meeting

The National Assembly's committee is discussing the nomination of Ruben Hakobyan, a member of the HRH, proposed by the opposition factions. During the committee meeting, a debate took place between the ruling party and opposition deputies.

MP Narek Babayan from the ruling Civil Contract party recalled Anna Grigoryan’s remarks: "Anna Grigoryan says we handed over Karvachar without a shot fired, now the question is how many shots should have been fired for Karvachar to be given up, how many more casualties were needed for Karvachar to be surrendered?"

Opposition faction MP Elinar Vardanyan countered: "You were going to hand over Karvachar one way or another. If you had stopped the war on October 20, the number of victims would have been completely different. As for your so-called 'beloved topic' of stopping the war, it is a beloved topic for you; for us, it is a tragedy."
