Russia Reduces Isolation Period for COVID-19 Contacts
In Russia, the isolation period for individuals who have come into contact with COVID-19 patients has been reduced from 14 days to 7 days, according to the press service of Rospotrebnadzor. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"New changes have been established in the sanitary rules for the prevention of coronavirus infection, according to which the isolation period for individuals who have been in contact with a COVID-19 patient is reduced from 14 days to 7 days," the statement said.
Previously, Rospotrebnadzor head Anna Popova had reported that the incubation period for those infected with the Omicron variant is between 2 to 5 days.
