Video: I find it almost impossible that Armen Sarkissian was not a citizen of Armenia, says Prime Minister

The decision was made by the president, and I learned about it only three and a half hours before the announcement. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a press conference.

He noted that Armen Sarkissian had called him hours before the announcement of that decision, and they spoke about it. “I asked the president whether he is discussing the issue with me or informing me that a decision is being made so that I understand whether this decision is subject to discussion or not. After that, he said that he had made a decision,” he said.

Pashinyan observed that since 2018, when Armen Sarkissian was elected president, and he became Prime Minister, no amendments have been made regarding the powers of the president of the Republic. He mentioned that he acknowledges the explanations regarding the resignation but does not wish to comment on them.

Regarding the revelations by Hetq.am concerning Armen Sarkissian's citizenship, Nikol Pashinyan stated that this is not the detail for him to discuss, as if there are any facts that need to be addressed by any state body of Armenia, he believes that those bodies should deal with it.
