New Trash Bins to Be Installed Near Yerevan Bus Stops, Street Lighting System to Be Modernized

In collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme's office in Armenia, Yerevan will continue modernizing its outdoor lighting system and installing energy-efficient lamps.

The city administration reports that approximately 250 million AMD will be allocated from Yerevan's budget instead of the originally planned 100 million AMD for 2022. Highlighting significant savings achieved through this program, Hrachya Sargsyan noted that these funds will not only enhance the overall system but will also extend the night lighting schedule.

New trash bins will be installed in the areas adjacent to Yerevan's bus stops. It has been reported that a competition has been announced for the procurement of around 1,200 bins.
