Edmon Marukyan for President of Armenia?

Armlur.am has received information from various governmental and extraparliamentary sources that the potential candidate for the President of Armenia is Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia Party. It is even mentioned that Marukyan has already agreed to run for the position, and it seems that his political team is also on board with this nomination.

Recently, Marukyan has become closer to various representatives of the government, and he even attended the wedding ceremony of Armenia's Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan yesterday.

The news agency tried to confirm this information with Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia Party, but he stated that he is not giving interviews at this time and declined to comment on our report.

Additionally, a representative of the Bright Armenia Party and former MP, Serbukh Grigoryan, has already proposed Marukyan as a candidate. “I believe that Edmon Marukyan can work well in that position, considering his language proficiency, experience in communicating with diplomats, and his ability to represent Armenia properly abroad... It would be unthinkable not to utilize Marukyan’s resources at this time—for the sake of Armenia... I haven’t spoken to him about this yet. I don’t even know what he thinks... But the candidacy of any citizen who lacks communication experience, or at least mastery of the English language, should not be considered for this position,” wrote the former MP, suggesting his party leader for the presidency of Armenia.
