Road Conditions in Armenia: Updated

The Road Department Foundation informs that as of January 22, at 17:30, the following regions have different road conditions:

• Ashtarak (the asphalt surface is clear)
• Aparan (the asphalt surface is clear)
• Siunik (snow is present on the asphalt surface)
• Goris (snow is partially present on the asphalt surface)
• Martuni (Martuni-Vardenis: the asphalt surface is clear)
• Ashotsk (snow is present on the asphalt surface)

There is black ice in some areas of these roads.

The Vardenyats Pass (snow is present on the asphalt surface) is passable for passenger vehicles, but challenging for heavy and trailer vehicles. Drivers of vehicles with trailers are advised to use snow chains while traveling through the Vardenyats Pass.

The Shinuakhair-Tatev road (snow is present on the asphalt surface) is impassable for vehicles with trailers.

Road construction workers are conducting cleaning and sanding operations on the roads. The interstate and national highways are open.

Attention drivers, please be careful, strictly adhere to traffic rules, and drive exclusively with winter tires.
