Nearly 2000 Doctors in Italy Suspended for Refusing COVID-19 Vaccination

In Italy, approximately 2000 doctors have been temporarily suspended from their positions for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The National Federation of Medical Management announced that 1972 doctors have been dismissed, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of doctors in Italy. However, according to the federation, the actual number of unvaccinated doctors could rise to as much as 7.2%.

After receiving notification of their dismissal, doctors will have five days to provide proof of vaccination exemption or submit documentation confirming their vaccination status.

According to data from the Worldometer statistical website, 9.4 million people have been infected with COVID-19 in Italy, with 142,500 deaths and 6.5 million recoveries.
