VIDEO: 'Well, since you know me, you know I'll give you a slap soon,' the MP recalled an incident
A whole faction responds to any of my speeches or statements with a Facebook post I wrote when I was 18 or 19 years old. This was stated today, January 21, in the National Assembly by Vaheghan Aleksanya, a member of the Civil Contract faction.
It is worth noting that Agnessa Khmoyan from the 'Armenia' faction recently stated in her speech that this MP had previously referred to Alen Simonyan as a "prostitute."
"Ms. Khmoyan, quoting the 'Our Father,' we were, for example, in military service at the time. There were people who committed various actions without saying 'Our Father'—stealing money from the budget, becoming millionaires and billionaires, killing people, including from this podium. If those who knew 'Our Father' had said it even once, perhaps they wouldn’t have issued killing orders against various people," he stated.
Aleksanyan referred to the statement by opposition MP Gegham Manukyan, who mentioned that terror is being carried out against the media. "I want to expand on this topic and remind you of an interesting encounter on the night of November 9, when, of course, by chance, most of those who stormed the 'Azatutyun' radio station building were members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. It was naturally not a decision made by the ARF Supreme Body to seize the 'Azatutyun' building. We all affirm this with confidence.
An interesting conversation took place between Azatutyun employee Artak Hambardsumyan and one of the ARF parliamentary assistants. Hambardsumyan said, ‘What are you doing? We are actually from the same course; you know me.’ The assistant responded, ‘Well, since you know me, you know I'll give you a slap soon.’ This is about terror against the media," stated the Civil Contract MP.
Regarding his previous day’s statement where he called certain members of the journalism community verbal prostitutes, Aleksanyan said, "What I said yesterday, I am ready to repeat now, to repeat tomorrow, to repeat endlessly, because all those media outlets that have been involved in encouraging the Chief of Staff of the RA to bring tanks into Yerevan, those that have spread statements threatening the life and safety of the Prime Minister's family, including his minor children, sowing hatred against them—yes, those media outlets are verbal prostitutes.
They say some journalists are offended. Dear journalists, if you have not engaged in such activities—and I am confident many journalists have not—then this does not concern you. But if you have engaged in this, then it does concern you, and you may file a legal claim against me," he elaborated.
The MP reminded that in March, these media outlets were spreading rumors that supposedly 'the President of Artsakh and the RA authorities are preparing provocations against the Artsakh Defense Army,' or 'Pashinyan is trying to bring security personnel from Turkey for himself.' It is clear that these actions were done either for money or for the barter trips I mentioned. Naturally, these people are verbal prostitutes. I merely stated that those who promote hatred on command, those who promote hatred against minor children on command are verbal prostitutes," concluded Vaheghan Aleksanyan.
