Man Goes to Neighbor's House, Knocks on Door, and Slits Neighbor's Throat with Knife

Details have emerged regarding the murder that took place in the city of Abovyan, according to ArmLur.am. The media notes that the individual detained in connection with the murder had health issues and was registered at a mental health clinic.

Prior to the incident, he told his wife that he would go see their neighbor below and would return. He went to the neighbor's house, knocked on the door, and when the neighbor opened it, he immediately slit his throat with a knife.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia recently announced that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 104, Part 1 of the Criminal Code regarding the murder of a 35-year-old resident of Abovyan city. As a result of urgent measures taken, it was revealed that on January 20, 2022, around 6:00 PM, at the entrance door of a building on Darany Street in Abovyan city, a 32-year-old resident of the same building used a sharp cutting and piercing tool to strike the neck of his 35-year-old compatriot, causing injuries incompatible with life.

The 32-year-old man has been arrested and has provided a confession. The investigation is ongoing.
