Police Detain Suspects in Robbery of Approximately 15 Million Dram from 'Grand Candy'

On January 18, the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan Police Division, along with the Shengavit Police Department’s criminal investigation unit, successfully discovered the suspects involved in a robbery at 'Grand Candy' LLC, which occurred on December 22 and involved approximately 15 million dram stolen.

According to shamshyan.com, the police then carried out a special operation in Yerevan. During this operation, personnel from the special purpose unit of the Yerevan Police brought in two residents of Yerevan, 31-year-old Arman S. and 35-year-old Hovsep S., from Shahamiryan Street. The suspects were driving a Mercedes vehicle.

They were subsequently transferred from the Yerevan Police to the Shengavit Investigation Division of the Armenian Investigative Committee, where they were arrested based on the first part of the third section of Article 175 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.

Reports indicate that the suspects reside in the same neighborhood in Yerevan.

As previously reported, a robbery took place in Yerevan on December 22. Around 22:40, a call was received at the Shengavit Police Division regarding a large sum of money being stolen from the 'Grand Candy' store located on Hrant Vardanyan Street.
