What is Happening in Abu Dhabi: Casualties and Destruction

After a drone attack in Abu Dhabi, which claimed several lives, a coalition of Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia announced the commencement of airstrikes on the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, controlled by Houthi rebels. This night, the official news agency of Saudi Arabia reported that the strikes in Sana'a are being carried out in response to a threat and military necessity.

The coalition spokesperson, Brigadier General Turkey al-Maliky, characterized the Houthi strikes as hostile terrorist attacks, emphasizing that the perpetrators must be held accountable as they pose a threat to regional and international security.

The Houthi-owned 'Al Masirah' television confirmed the fact of the coalition's attacks. A few hours earlier, the Yemeni rebels announced a “military operation” conducted in the territory of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to local police data, the attack targeted three fuel tankers, which exploded and ignited. Additionally, a small fire broke out at a construction site near Abu Dhabi Airport, which was extinguished.

As a result of the attack, three people were killed—one Pakistani and two Indians—while another six individuals were injured.

It is noteworthy that the United Arab Emirates has been involved in the Yemeni civil war since 2015, supporting former President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi against the Houthi movement.
