Putin and Aliyev Have Phone Conversation
Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a phone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss issues related to the Ukrainian settlement, the Kremlin's press service reports.
“At the initiative of the Azerbaijani side, a phone call took place between the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev,” the statement says.
It is noted that, considering Aliyev's recent visit to Ukraine, the participants discussed issues concerning the Ukrainian settlement, which have “stopped due to Kyiv's unconstructive stance.” Putin also spoke about communications with the U.S. and its allies regarding the provision of security guarantees for Russia.
Furthermore, President Putin discussed the situation in Kazakhstan with President Aliyev, according to the Kremlin's press service.
