French Institute to Be Established in Yerevan: Lakot

The former ambassador of France to Armenia, Jonathan Lakot, announced on his Facebook page that a French institute will be established in Armenia.

"I am glad that during my four years in Armenia, I have designed, developed, and implemented the project to create a French institute in Yerevan in collaboration with the Aznavour Foundation," the ambassador stated, adding that the institute will be located near the Aznavour Center.

According to him, the institute will bring together all initiatives that have contributed to the cultural relations between the two countries and will serve as a showcase for French culture and language.

"For this institute, we are indebted to all Armenians who love France, to the teachers who teach our language, to the youth interested in our culture, and to all those who see themselves in our values," wrote the former ambassador, wishing the institute great success.

The ambassador also published the relevant decision of the French government, which was signed on January 12.
