Criminal Case Against Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan Dismissed

According to reliable information from the "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, the National Security Service has dismissed the criminal case against the Deputy Primate of the Ararat Church Diocese, His Grace Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan.

It is worth mentioning that on April 15, 2020, a statement was issued announcing that charges had been brought against the Deputy Primate of one of the dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church as part of a criminal case. The case against Archbishop Kchoyan has a history of about 8 years. It pertains to the infamous Cyprus offshore case, which had previously implicated former Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan accused them of dispossessing him. Businessman Ashot Sukiasyan was involved as a defendant in this case and mentioned during one of the court hearings that Navasard Kchoyan is his godfather. The "Zhoghovurd" newspaper learned that Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan of the Ararat Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church was summoned several times by the NSS regarding the offshore scandal and did not recognize his guilt in the charges, labeling them as baseless and fabricated. And now, two years later, the case has been dismissed.
