VIDEO: Armenia Withdraws Troops from Borders Thoughtlessly - Ohanyan

The "Armenia" faction has once again proposed to bring the issue of the situation at the borders of Armenia to the agenda of the Parliament. The leader of the faction, Seyran Ohanyan, reiterated in the National Assembly that the issue of "Border Delimitation and Demarcation Problems" should be included in the agenda during a plenary session.

Ohanyan stated that the border situation in Armenia and Artsakh is concerning. By including the issue in the agenda, there is an opportunity to study and discuss the current situation at the borders.

"I believe that the conclusion given by the main committee, which is a negative conclusion, is unacceptable to everyone, especially for the 'Armenia' faction, because after the defeat in the 44-day war, the series of failures continues, and it directly affects the situation prevailing at the borders today," Ohanyan noted.

According to Ohanyan, by organizing hearings and striving to hold an extraordinary session on this issue, they could point out all the red lines necessary for Armenia and Artsakh.

"No one is saying that we do not aspire to peace, and no one is saying that one day we should not clarify the borders with our neighbors. Yes, the conflicting party should become a neighboring republic. That is the primary prerequisite for creating appropriate conditions for peace, within which delimitation and demarcation will be carried out. Not to mention the current situation at Armenia's borders, the question of withdrawing troops after the war without consideration. We believe that these prematurely implemented measures will deal a serious blow to the territorial integrity of Armenia and the self-determination of Artsakh. A large stone will be thrown on the self-determination opportunities of Artsakh in its own historical territory," he added.

Ohanyan suggested voting to include the issue in the plenary session.
