VIDEO: We Will Not Pass On This Enmity with Azerbaijan to Our Children and Future Generations – Sukiasyan

After any war, there are always some tensions and retaliatory actions; these decrease over time, depending on emotional factors, striving towards zero. I believe it is possible to have neighborly relations with our neighbor Azerbaijan. This statement was made today, January 17, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly by Khachatur Sukiasyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract faction and a well-known businessman, in response to a question about whether he wants to have good relations with Azerbaijan— the same Azerbaijan that recently killed three 18-year-old boys.

He noted that many countries in the world, which are neighbors, have a significant share in each other’s gross domestic product. “If it happens that we achieve a high percentage of gross domestic product with our neighbors, that would be a good tool for improving relations. We will not pass this enmity with Azerbaijan on to our children and future generations. When there is shooting, there are also casualties among them; we need to be civilized. Second, we must manage all this quietly, with restrained nerves. Of course, there will be incidents, but we have what we have. You know what region we live in, you know what neighbors we have, and we must arrange our relations with our neighbors so that we do not pass on animosity to our generations,” said the MP from the Civil Contract party.
