Son-in-law of Nursultan Nazarbayev Resigns from Position

Timur Kulibayev, the husband of Dinara, the middle daughter of former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, has resigned from his position as chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs 'Atameken'. This has been reported by RIA Novosti, citing the chamber's website.

Kulibayev expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their joint work and summarized the results of their efforts. However, he did not disclose the reason for his resignation.

Kulibayev and his wife are owners of Kazakhstan's largest bank, the People's Bank of Kazakhstan. The National Welfare Fund 'Samruk-Kazyna' announced on January 15 the early termination of powers of Dimash Dosanov, head of 'Kaztransoil', and Kairat Sharipbaev, head of national company QazaqGaz (formerly known as 'KazTransGas'). The former is the husband of Nazarbayev's youngest daughter, Aliya, while the latter is identified by media as the second husband of Nazarbayev's elder daughter, Dariga.
