Levon Ter-Petrosyan Has Made Political Statements Many Times: Sukiasyan

Parliament member Khachatur Sukiasyan considers the statement of the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, that the Pashinyan administration is striving to maintain power at all costs, irrespective of circumstances, as political.

In a conversation with reporters, Khachatur Sukiasyan, a member of the ruling ‘Civil Contract’ faction, stated that Levon Ter-Petrosyan has made political statements many times and has his own opinion. However, considering the fact that Levon Ter-Petrosyan has not governed Armenia for a long time, he has always had and continues to have the right to make political statements, but Sukiasyan deems them political.

“The thoughts of anyone with experience should serve as a cause for reflection or material for everyone,” noted Sukiasyan, adding that he cannot determine the intent behind Ter-Petrosyan's words. He emphasized that Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the president of the Armenian National Congress and that every political system has its own perspective.

It is noteworthy that the first President of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, stated: “The opposition led by Kocharian and Sargsyan, despite internal contradictions, is also striving to seize power at all costs, irrespective of circumstances. Consequently, there is a complete absence of awareness of public interest in all three camps, the inevitable consequence of which are new disasters threatening our nation.”
