More than 1500 Russian Tankers Conduct Exercises in Armenia
More than 1500 tankers of the Russian Armed Forces are conducting combat shooting exercises at the Russian military base in Armenia, as well as in various training grounds in South Ossetia, Crimea, Dagestan, Adygea, Ingushetia, and several other military units. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
The tankers are performing fire tasks in tactical groups, aimed at penetrating enemy defenses and successfully developing an offensive. Additionally, the tankers have improved their skills in hitting targets from closed firing positions at distances of up to 6 kilometers.
Tank mechanics-drivers have carried out driving exercises as part of the qualifying round of the “Tank Biathlon” field competition. The tank units are developing tactical maneuvers and defensive strategies during both daytime and nighttime operations. The combat coordination of the tank platoons will continue until February 2022.
