Body Found Under Kyiv Bridge
Today, on January 15, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 09:00, the police received a call reporting a body under the Kyiv Bridge.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an operational group from the Mashtots police station, led by station chief Andranik Shahbazyan, promptly arrived at the scene. Also present were the patrol officers from the 2nd company of the Yerevan battalion, led by company commander Levon Badalyan and deputy commander Davit Nikoghosyan.
The area was cordoned off by patrol officers Arkadi Martirosov and Telman Asatryan to prevent curious citizens from parking their vehicles along the roadway and causing congestion.
Currently, a team from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan investigative department, specifically for the Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative regions, is working at the scene. Investigation materials are being prepared by the investigator. According to preliminary information, the incident is suspected to be a suicide, and the deceased is believed to be a young man aged 20 to 22. The police and investigative department are working to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
