Former MP Ani Samsonyan wrote: “Today the meeting of the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey will take place in Moscow. Following the announcement of this meeting, there is an impression among people that it should be a historic meeting in which all issues should be resolved at once. Of course, such expectations are also fostered by the media and the political sphere with questions like ‘what happened in the end,’ which leads to inflated expectations and later causes deep disappointment.

We have been going through this for 30 years, but now it is time for us as a society to learn not to accumulate senseless emotional responses, especially on foreign policy issues, and then to unleash them with anger. Patience and wisdom to all of us.”
