Russia Demands Explanation from Turkey
Moscow has demanded clarification from Ankara regarding a statement made by an assistant to the Turkish President about the deployment of CSTO forces in Kazakhstan. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference dedicated to the results of Russian diplomacy in 2021.
“An unclear statement has been made in Ankara by one of President Erdoğan's advisors, who has simply condemned Kazakhstan's actions regarding the request for CSTO assistance. We have asked our Turkish colleagues to explain what this means,” said the Russian minister.
