How Did the Artsakh Resident End Up Among Azerbaijanis? What Happened Before

berdzori Mayor Narek Aleksanyan is trying to clarify with Russian peacekeepers how true the reports are that a 68-year-old man from Berdzor has ended up on the Azerbaijani side. He stated this in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.

It should be noted that a photo is circulating on Telegram channels, claiming that the Azerbaijanis have kidnapped Andranik Aleksanyan, a resident of Berdzor born in 1953.

"If it turns out that the man is indeed on the Azerbaijani side, then he probably went there himself. The issue is that he has mental health problems, and besides that, his place of residence has come under Azerbaijani control, and Andranik has attempted to go there before. However, we explained to him that he cannot," said Aleksanyan.

According to him, the man said he has something there that he wants to retrieve. The mayor reported that Andranik lives alone and has not had any visitors until now. Andranik Aleksanyan settled in Berdzor after the 44-day war when his place of residence remained under Azerbaijani control. The mayor noted that there have been instances where Andranik has "disappeared" from Berdzor for a day, only to be found in Yerevan, where he also has no relatives.
