Collision Between Volvo and Snowplow; One Injured is a Priest
On January 13, an accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 21:00, a collision took place on the 26th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway involving a Volvo vehicle driven by 40-year-old Vanik Pashinyan from Ijevan and a snowplow operated by 56-year-old Hayrapet Mkrtchyan from Arzakan village.
According to photo journalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, Vanik Pashinyan, the driver of the Volvo, and his passenger, 34-year-old ArtunDamadyan, were hospitalized with injuries at the 'Abovyan' medical center.
Shamshyan reported that of the injured, A. Damadyan is a priest at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, while H. Mkrtchyan works for the Kotayk Road Department and was performing snow removal operations with his colleagues at that time.
