Azerbaijani Leader Targets Russian Peacekeeping Mission in Artsakh: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh has issued a statement regarding recent comments made by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in various media interviews. The President's remarks, which addressed the resolution of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict and regional processes, once again echoed a vocabulary characterized by hatred toward Armenians, destructiveness, and expansionism, coupled with corresponding plans and objectives.
This kind of policy constitutes a gross violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and previously reached agreements. Its aim is to torpedo initiatives for establishing peace and maintaining stability, as well as dismantling existing formats.
Moreover, the Azerbaijani leader specifically targeted the peacekeeping mission carried out by the Russian Federation in Artsakh, launching baseless accusations against their activities. The co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group represents the only agreed-upon format for resolving the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict among all parties.
We highly value the mission of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh and consider any attempts to overshadow their activities as unacceptable. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Artsakh firmly condemns Azerbaijan's behavior, believing that such state-level policies deserve appropriate evaluation by the international community as well.
