48-Year-Old Driver Hits Pedestrian in Yerevan

This afternoon, on January 14, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in Yerevan. At approximately 14:25, a resident of Yerevan, 48-year-old Sisak K., struck a pedestrian, 35-year-old Sima B., while driving his Opel near the well-known 'Yeritsyan's' store on Papazyan Street.

According to photo reporter Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene, and the injured pedestrian was promptly transported to the number 1 university hospital with the help of paramedics who arrived quickly and the police patrol officer Davit Barseghyan from the 1st platoon of the 2nd battalion of the Yerevan Patrol Service, assisted by citizen Albert Tumanyan.

Also arriving on the scene were Levon Badalyan, commander of the Yerevan Patrol Service’s 2nd battalion, and Haik Aroyan, commander of the 1st platoon. The information about the accident was reported to the traffic accident investigation and administrative procedure division of the Yerevan Patrol Service, from which a duty group led by division chief Grigor Avetisyan and senior investigator Vardan Babajanyan was dispatched.

V. Babajanyan has initiated preparations regarding the incident.
