Video: Employee Shot at a Yerevan Brewery and Fled the Scene

The investigative body of the RA Investigative Committee, which is conducting proceedings regarding the criminal case in the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan, has revealed an incident of hooliganism committed using a weapon at a brewery.

According to preliminary data, on January 11, 2022, around 23:40, the person suspected of committing the crime fired shots at an employee of the brewery located on A. Vashtunyan Street in Yerevan with a weapon obtained unlawfully, injuring the employee in the knee and disrupting the normal operation of the brewery.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Investigative Committee's Yerevan headquarters for acts under Articles 258, part 4, and 235, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. The employee has been recognized as the victim.

During the preliminary investigation, a scene inspection was carried out, during which a 7X62 mm caliber cartridge and bullet casing were discovered, as well as blood-like traces. Samples were taken, eyewitnesses were interrogated, and examinations were appointed, including forensic, ballistic, trace, and chemical analyses.

As a result of the urgent measures taken, the identity of the person who allegedly committed the crime was established, who is a 1990-born resident of the Aragatsotn province. He has been arrested on suspicion of committing hooliganism using a weapon.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are being undertaken to clarify all circumstances of the incident and verify the details indicated in the testimonies. An order has been issued to the investigative body.
