Russia's Foreign Ministry on Escalation of Tensions at Armenian-Azerbaijani Border

Moscow is seriously concerned about the recent escalation of tensions at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and calls for a refrain from the use of force.

“We must act exclusively through political and diplomatic means,” stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

She identified the initiation of the border demarcation process followed by the delimitation as the primary means to avoid escalations. In this matter, Russia is prepared to provide comprehensive assistance.
