Former Minister Aram Harutyunyan's Illicit Enrichment Case Sent to Court

The case of former Minister of Environment Aram Harutyunyan's illicit enrichment has been sent to court. According to the ‘Datalex’ court-information system, the case has been assigned to Judge Hovik Shahnazaryan of the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan.

The individuals involved in this case include former minister Aram Harutyunyan, his wife Hasmik Abgaryan, and Arshak Javadyan, who is connected with their family. The Prosecutor General's Office is demanding the confiscation of assets in favor of the state. However, it is not clearly stated what amount of money is being referred to.

Additionally, it is worth noting that this is already the third case related to the confiscation of assets of illicit origin sent to court. The previous two cases involved the former Chief of Police of Armenia Vladimir Gasparyan and his family, as well as former National Security Service official Serob Harutyunyan.
