Two Men Detained for Selling Sturgeon
On January 11, at 14:45, the Shengavit police department received a report that sturgeon fish were being sold near a supermarket in Charbakh. Police operational group officers and employees from the Department of Trade and Services of the Yerevan Municipality rushed to the scene.
As a result, a 27-year-old man was detained from Artashisyan street, who had been engaged in the sale of 83 sturgeon fish during the prohibited period for spawning and harvesting.
On the same day, at 17:10, community police officers from Shengavit and employees of the Yerevan Municipality’s Trade and Services Department detained a 38-year-old man on Solomon Taronci Street, who had been involved in the sale of 180 sturgeon fish during the same prohibited period.
Investigations are underway regarding the incidents.
