Georgia Withdraws 68 Million Dram of Capital from Armenia

The Statistical Committee of Armenia has published data on foreign investments made from January to September of last year. Accordingly, total investments have significantly increased from 16 billion 304 million dram in the first nine months of 2021 to 162 billion 173 million dram.

In the previous nine months, certain countries have withdrawn their direct investments from Armenia. The capital withdrawn from Armenia by France amounted to 3 billion 694 million 400 thousand dram. For example, Georgia has withdrawn its capital amounting to 68 million dram from Armenia. In contrast, Italy has increased the volume of direct investments.

It is noteworthy that Russian investments were also withdrawn from Armenia; the Russian Federation had exited with 23 billion 140 million dram during the first nine months of 2020, while in the previous year's nine months, it made investments totaling 11 billion 392 million dram.
