Former Ministers Summoned by Commission: 'Zhoghovourd'

The newspaper 'Zhoghovourd' has learned that in the upcoming days, the parliamentary investigative committee examining the use of funds collected by the 'Armenia' All-Armenian Fund and transferred to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia will actively hold meetings. Furthermore, a meeting already took place yesterday with the participation of Haikak Arshamyan, the executive director of the 'Armenia' All-Armenian Fund.

Part of the meeting was held in closed session, during which parliamentarians inquired about the fundraising campaign 'We Are Our Borders. All for Artsakh' that started on September 27, 2020, and the details regarding the expenditure of those funds.

We have learned who will participate in the upcoming sessions. In particular, former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaroui Batoyan will attend today, former Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan will participate tomorrow, and former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mesrop Arakelyan is scheduled for January 14.

It is noteworthy that the chair of this commission is Artsvik Minasyan, the secretary of the 'Armenia' faction.

Let us remind you that during the 44-day war, a significant amount of the financial resources raised by the 'Armenia' All-Armenian Fund, more than 52 billion drams, was transferred to the government as donations. However, various reports about the spending of those funds have emerged, and the investigative committee aims to verify them to uncover any corruption risks and manifestations.
