Why Armenian Defense Ministers Go to Moscow After Resignation: 'Hayjrnank'
The newspaper 'Hayjrnank' reports on a noteworthy situation regarding the former defense ministers of Armenia. Interestingly, after being relieved of their duties, all ministers have seemingly 'isolated' themselves in the capital of the Russian Federation.
For instance, former Minister of Defense Mikael Harutyunyan has been living in Russia for a considerable amount of time, and it later emerged that he is also a citizen of the Russian Federation.
'Hayjrnank' has learned that following his dismissal, former Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan has also gone to Moscow, following in the footsteps of Mikael Harutyunyan. According to conversations circulating within the Ministry of Defense, he has gone there for a short period; however, it is a fact that he traveled to Moscow after his resignation and remains there to this day.
On the other hand, another former minister, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, is in Moscow under a different capacity. He was appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation on January 5 (with his residence in Moscow).
This observation leads to the question: why do defense ministers find themselves in Russia after their resignations?
