Two Casualties Reported: Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

On January 11, two soldiers of the RA Ministry of Defense were killed as a result of provocations carried out by Azerbaijani units in the eastern direction of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. The deceased are Private Arthur Artur Mkhitaryan (born 2002) and Junior Sergeant Rudik Rafik Gharibyan (born 2002).

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares in the heavy grief of this loss and expresses support to the families, relatives, and comrades of the fallen soldiers.

Additionally, two more service members were injured, but their lives are not in danger.

As of 21:00, the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is relatively stable.
