The Situation Has Calmed Down a Bit: The Head of Geghamasar Community on the Border Situation
Currently, the situation has calmed down a bit; it seems our forces have managed to silence the ongoing issues. This was stated by Hakob Avetyan, the head of the Geghamasar community in the Gegharkunik region, during a conversation with NEWS.am regarding the border situation.
“There have been shots fired in the direction of Verin Shorzha and Norabakh. There will be no evacuation for residents; they have already learned to endure, having gone through war and seen everything. However, nonetheless, the gunfire does concern all of us,” noted Avetyan.
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported that as a result of provocations by Azerbaijani units in the eastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, two soldiers from the Armenian Defense Ministry's N military unit were killed: private Artur Artyomi Mkrtchyan (born in 2002) and junior sergeant Rudik Rafiki Garibyan (born in 2002).
