Iran Reopens Land Borders with Neighboring Countries
Iran has reopened its land borders with neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan. This was announced by Iran's Minister of Interior Ahmad Vahidi.
Vahidi noted that the borders, which had been closed 15 days ago due to the spread of the coronavirus 'Omicron' variant, have now been reopened, allowing citizens of neighboring countries to visit Iran by land.
According to the minister, visitors entering Iran must undergo a PCR test. Vahidi emphasized that for countries where the epidemiological situation is manageable, passenger flights have also been restored.
However, some European countries, including the United Kingdom and France, are still banned from operating flights to Iran.
It is worth recalling that Iran closed its borders on December 25, 2021, due to the spread of the coronavirus 'Omicron' variant.
