Permission Granted for Flights on Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan Route: Names Revealed
Flyone Armenia and Pegasus airlines have received permission from the Civil Aviation Committee to operate irregular flights on the Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan route. This was reported to Armenpress by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia.
Earlier, representatives from Flyone Armenia had informed Armenpress that the aviation authorities of the Republic of Armenia allowed Flyone Armenia to operate charter flights on the Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan route.
Flyone Armenia had applied to both Armenian and Turkish aviation authorities for the permission to conduct charter flights on this route, while on December 16, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced that Ankara was considering applications from Turkish and Armenian airlines regarding the opening of flights between Istanbul and Yerevan. Furthermore, it was revealed on December 23 that, according to a statement from Turkey's Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, the Turkish budget airline Pegasus is preparing to implement flights to Yerevan.
