The U.S. Ready to Discuss the Non-Deployment of American Missiles in Ukraine with Russia: White House
The White House has stated that the U.S. does not intend to deploy offensive missile systems in Ukraine. It is prepared to discuss the issue of non-deployment of American missiles in Ukraine with Russia, indicating that progress on these agreements is possible. This was conveyed to reporters by a senior official from the U.S. administration.
Previously, the Pentagon had denied media reports suggesting that the U.S. may reduce its military presence in Europe. Prior to this, media sources, citing Washington insiders, reported that the U.S. is ready to discuss reducing the number of its troops stationed in Eastern Europe and scaling back military exercises in the region.
It is noteworthy that on Monday, Russian and American delegations will hold negotiations in Geneva within the framework of bilateral dialogue on strategic stability.
