A group of over 70 Il-76 and 5 An-124 aircraft from the Russian Ministry of Defense is transporting units of the Russian military contingent of the CSTO peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan around the clock, the military department stated.
It was noted that the aircraft, carrying servicemen along with weapons and equipment, are being sent from airports in Moscow, Ivanovo, and Ulyanovsk regions.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the units that have already arrived in Kazakhstan have begun carrying out the assigned tasks.
