Detailed Report: 41-Year-Old Man Commits Indecent Acts Against 8-Year-Old Girl

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has revealed the circumstances surrounding the indecent acts committed by a 41-year-old man against underage girls, as well as incidents involving the distribution of pornographic videos. This information was reported by the Investigative Committee.

According to the factual data obtained during the investigation, on March 15, 2021, around 14:17, the man, with the intent to commit indecent acts against a minor under 12 years of age, followed the 8-year-old girl and entered a building entrance located in Yerevan. He entered the building's elevator with the girl and committed indecent acts against her.

Furthermore, the 41-year-old man created a fake account on the Facebook social network under the name “Milena Asatryan” with the intent to commit indecent acts against a person clearly under 16 years of age using electronic communication networks. He searched for and found registered websites under female names on the same social network, analyzing photographs published on those sites to ascertain that the individuals depicted were obviously under 16 years of age. Through the Messenger app, he corresponded with girls aged 16 and younger, including one who was only 14.

During their correspondence, the man engaged in lewd discussions about sexual life, committing indecent acts against these users. It was also revealed that in addition to the aforementioned actions, the 41-year-old man sent several of the girls pornographic videos.

With a sufficient combination of evidence obtained, the man has been charged under Articles 142 (part 3, clause 2; part 2, clauses 2 and 6; as well as part 2, clauses 3 and 6) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia and Article 263 (part 1). He has been placed in custody as a preventive measure.

The preliminary investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been forwarded to the Prosecutor for the approval of the indictment and submission to the court.
