Police Identify Individual Behind False Bomb Threat

A false bomb threat made to the culture house in Parakar community of Armavir province was initiated by a 41-year-old woman. This information was reported by the press service of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

The National Crisis Management Center received a call yesterday at 09:21, reporting that an explosive device was planted in the culture house of Parakar village in Armavir province. Operational and emergency response teams were dispatched to the scene. A search of the culture house and surrounding area revealed no explosive materials or devices.

"Thanks to the measures taken, the identity of the individual who called the emergency services was determined. At 12:45 PM, the 41-year-old woman was located on Grigor Lusavorich Street in Ejmiatsin and taken into custody by the Vagarshapat police station. She has provided a confession during questioning," the police statement reads.

The circumstances of the incident are under investigation.
